Examples of Elementary English Language Arts Goals...

Student will read a leveled text at least 95% accuracy and satisfactory comprehension (includes important information and ideas but neglects other key understandings)

         by June 16, 2017, level G text
        
by November 28, 2017, level H text
        
by March 12, 2018, level I text
         by May 14, 2018, level J text

Student will read frye words with 80% accuracy...
         by June 16, 2017, 25 out of the first hundred
         by November 28, 2017, 50 out of the first hundred
         by March 12, 2018, 75 out of the first hundred
         by May 14, 2018, 100 out of the first hundred

When reading literature, Student will determine the main idea and recount details with 80% accuracy.

By June 16, 2017, when given 10 words, Student will blend, segment, read and write CVC words with 80% accuracy. Given a dictated sentence, Student will write the sentence spelling words with 80% accuracy and including a capital letter at the beginning of the sentence and using correct end punctuation.
